I love to show simple things like these winter grasses on a snowy sand dune with this amazing purple sky.
I didn't realize until I came to live on Block Island, all the different colors a sky can make. The light from the sky and the water bounce back and forth, and get deeper and deeper. I've seen lemon yellow, melon orange, blood red, plum purple, emerald green, frosty white, dove grey, indigo blue, sandy brown, inky black, burnished gold and diamond silver skies and water on Block Island. After all these years, I'm still amazed. I took this picture at the Town Beach on Block Island.
